The AGC Composites & Aerostructures Group is please to announce Hill Aerosystems, Inc. has received Nadcap Accreditation for Fusion Welding.

“We are fully committed to producing products of high quality and delivering on time for our customers,” said Paul Bozich, president of Hill AeroSystems. “Our focus on improving our fusion welding operations is synonymous with Nadcap requirements, and we are extremely proud of our sixth recertification.”

Nadcap is the leading, worldwide cooperative program of major companies designed to provide unbiased, independent manufacturing process and product assessments and certification services for the purpose of adding value, reducing total costs, and facilitating relationships between subscribers and suppliers.

“Our Quality Team has a proactive approach to researching new Nadcap requirements and implementing them into our processes and procedures,” added Randy Stevens, manufacturing engineer for Hill. “Since our first certification in 2007, we are pleased to have an outstanding record in passing audits, as well as increasing the number of processes that are certified.”

The Nadcap Fusion Welding audit criterion includes a series of checklists on the mechanics of the fusion welding process. Hill AeroSystems is fully compliant to AWS D17.1 and BAC5975, which are stringent procedures verified in addition to the Nadcap checklist requirements.
