AGC Tornado Victims Relief Initiative

Company Statement

AGC Teammates & Friends,

We are all shocked and saddened by the news and images of the tornado that ripped through Oklahoma on May 20th.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families as they start the arduous process of rebuilding their lives.  We are particularly concerned with the well-being of our fellow AGC employees that have been directly impacted by the storms, two of which have completely lost their homes.  We are continuing to assess family impacts, immediate and extended, of all those that had loved ones in harm’s way.  We will keep you apprised as we know more in the coming days.

We are grateful for the outpouring of support and offers of assistance.  To that end, we have set up a relief fund and will be accepting donations starting today that will first go to help our directly impacted employees, second, and extended family members, and third, any local relief groups providing direct assistant to storm victims at ground zero.  Acorn Growth Companies has made an initial contribution of $10,000 and will match each $1 contributed up to $25,000.  Any contributions made are completely voluntary, not immediately tax deductible, and should be made using your own discretion.  To the extent we can move the monies through a non-profit organization to meet our goals of assisting our employees, we will.

Please send checks made payable to:

Times like this test our faith, resolve, and character.  They serve as a reminder of what is important and how precious life is.  They also give us an opportunity to come together and help one another, and in so doing reveal the best in ourselves.  As Oklahomans, we’ve been through times like this before, and we’ve always come through them stronger and better prepared for what may lie ahead.

On behalf of all of us at Acorn Growth Companies and AGC Aerospace & Defense, thanks again for your concern and support.

Rick Nagel and Jeff Davis
