AGC Composites and Aerostructures names Joe Paustenbaugh Vice President of Engineering

AGC Composites and Aerostructures, is pleased to announce that Joe Paustenbaugh has been named Vice President of Engineering.

Paustenbaugh will be responsible for advancing the organization’s technology strategy, supporting its five operating companies with new technology and integrating programs and opportunities between its companies.

“Joe will drive our technology roadmap and continue to develop our engineering design and development capability for composite and metallic structures,” said Rick Armstrong, President and CEO of the AGC Composites and Aerostructures Group.  “Joe's experience in composite technology, engineering development and integration will benefit our customers and assure we achieve our strategic growth plan.”

Paustenbaugh brings more than three decades of composite structures experience with ATK, an aerospace, defense and commercial products company with global operations.  He served as Vice President of the ATK Aerospace Structures Division Engineering, headquartered in Utah, and most recently was Market Segment Director in the ATK commercial business unit.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Paustenbaugh is a 1980 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 1986 and served as a certified examiner for the 2003 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award after training at the National Institute of Standards.

Paustenbaugh has three children and lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife, Michelle.
