Acorn Growth Companies Names VP of Marketing & Communications
Acorn Growth Companies (Acorn) announces Erika Lucas has been named Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the Oklahoma City-based private equity firm. Acorn controls a portfolio of 15 companies located across the United States and the United Kingdom that are focused exclusively on the aerospace and defense industries. Lucas comes to AGC from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, where she was Deputy Director and managed international development and marketing and communications strategies on behalf of the State of Oklahoma. For Acorn, Lucas will coordinate marketing and strategic communications for the firm and its portfolio companies, which are located in the US and Europe. "Erika brings us deep experience in a variety of disciplines from the public and private sector. As we continue to grow build our brand name in the U.S. and internationally, her experience and contacts will be an enormous benefit.” Lucas brings more than 14 years of multinational experience in the private and public sector working in different aspects of international business management. She has extensive experience living and working in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the Asian Pacific. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese, in addition to English. At the Commerce Department she was responsible for Global and Communications units, supervising global offices in Europe, China, Mexico and Israel, as well as providing recommendations to the Oklahoma Secretary of Commerce on issues related to agency culture, mission and performance. Lucas resides in Edmond, OK, with her husband, Chris, and two children.
